Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked fresh conversation in the music industry after recounting his contrasting encounters with Afrobeats stars Davido and Olamide.
Speaking candidly, Portable revealed that his early meetings with Davido did not yield much impact on his career.
According to him, their first meeting took place at a restaurant, where the DMW boss only offered him food and what he described as “bad advice.”
He further claimed that during a second encounter at a club, Davido bought him drinks but declined to give him a musical verse, a move he implied slowed his progress at the time.
The first time I met Davido was at a restaurant, he only gave me food and b@d advice, the second time we met was at a club he only gave me drinks but refused to give me a verse. Olamide didn’t give me food, but gave me my future”. He said.
