Prince Harry, Meghan Acquire $14.7m Luxury House
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have splashed $14.7 million on a Montecito mansion in California and it’s breathtaking.
According to Page Six, the couple’s sprawling house is about 18,000-square-feet, with nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool, theatre and gym.
The massive home is in the same neighborhood where some American celebrities like Winfrey Oprah, Ariana Grande, Ellen DeGeneres, and Gwyneth Paltrow live.
There have been rumours that the couple purchased their new home with money borrowed from Prince Harry‘s father.
While speaking with Page Six, sources close to the couple refuted the rumour, stating that the couple bought the house with their money.
“Meghan and Harry finally feel like they are on their own, and it feels great. They bought this house without help from his family, they aren’t using it on loan from a friend as they had before. It’s truly theirs and they can’t wait to make it a home,” the source was quoted to have said.
The couple’s new house comes as no surprise as the couple recently sued an unnamed photographer over invasion of privacy.
In a complaint filed in California, the couple alleged that the paparazzi used drones to take photographs of their 14-month-old son, Archie.
