Rapper DMX Dies at 50

American rapper and actor, Earl Simmons otherwise known as DMX, has died.

Disclosing DMX’s death in a statement made available to members of the public today (Friday, April 9, 2021), the deceased’s family announced that he passed away at the age of 50.

The statement from the family read: “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.

“Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end,” the family continued. “He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him.”

The artist had been hospitalized since last week when he suffered a heart attack at his home in New York, according to his longtime attorney, Murray Richman.
