Mercy Johnson, the Nollywood actress, has addressed the recent controversy regarding her health.
The drama started after Angela Okorie earlier today went live on Instagram claiming Mercy Johnson is seriously ill, urging her to seek forgiveness from people she allegedly wronged in the past.
The video sparked mixed reactions, with many calling out Angela for being insensitive. Regina Daniels was one of the celebrities who took offense and publicly called out Okorie for her remarks.
In her response, Regina Daniels berated Okorie’s behavior, saying: “I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angela you dey m@d! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!!”
The young mother of two emphasized that Okorie should not speak recklessly about someone’s mother, especially considering Mercy Johnson has children who may one day come across such videos. She also suggested Angela’s comments lacked basic sense and home training.
In response, Angela Okorie slammed her younger colleague referencing her marriage and background. She stated: “You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with your mum… I thought you were sensible enough to marry a man of your age.”
She accused Regina of disrespect, claiming that she had no moral right to speak on the matter. She warned Regina to stop insulting her, stating:“You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me? If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten.”
She also advised young girls to focus on self-respect and making their own money, claiming Regina lacked proper home training.
The actresses have continued to feud with each other all evening on social media.
Responding to the brouhaha, Mercy Johnson, via her Instagram account on Tuesday night, promised to share everything with the public. She wrote a moment ago, “O ti to ge. It’s time to say my piece. Everything I need to say, I will say it tomorrow 12pm.”
