Media personality Robert Ekpenyong Ekpo also as Roby Ekpo, has firmly rejected the cease-and-desist notice served by his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, dismissing her ₦100 million damages demand as excessive and unfounded.
The notice, issued yesterday through Aunt Landa’s Bethel Foundation, accused Ekpo of defamation over statements he made during an emotional appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast about their 11-year marriage.

It claimed the traditional marriage ended mutually before May 11, 2025, and demanded he stop all publications, remove content, issue a public retraction and apology, and pay ₦100 million within three days or face court action.

In response, Ekpo stated he can defend his comments and is prepared to meet Lambe in court. Through his lawyers, he maintained that his statements were based on personal experiences and facts he reasonably believes to be true. He described the monetary demand as premature and excessive, while expressing readiness to present his own evidence and file counterclaims if sued.
The high-profile breakup has sparked intense social media debate, with divided opinions. The matter, which involves allegations of infidelity, financial issues, and relationship status, continues to generate public interest.
