Ronaldo breaks record with 300 million Instagram followers
Professional football star Cristiano Ronaldo is now the most followed person on Instagram with a total of 300 million followers!
This comes a year after the father of four became the first person to cross the 200 million follower mark on the platform. Also, the achievement came off the back of another one the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner ticked earlier in the week; when the Portugal national team captain became the all-time top scorer in European Championship history.
Ronaldo is followed by American actor Dwayne Johnson, who has about 246 million followers. American singer Ariana Grande takes the third spot with more than 244 million followers.
Reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian’s over 229 million followers put her in fifth; just ahead of Lionel Messi who has about 218 million people following him.
TheCable had also reported how Coca-Cola’s market value dropped by $4 billion after the Juventus star expressed his preference for water ahead of two bottles of the drink.
