Rotimi From “Power” Joins “Coming To America 2” Cast
According to a Deadline report, Nigerian-American singer cum actor, Rotimi has been enlisted to star in the highly-anticipated sequel to the classic “Coming To America”. With no confirmed statement about what role he’ll play, the “Power” star joins Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross and more on “Coming To America 2”.
The movie follows the story of Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy), who discovers he has a long-lost son in America, with his father dying, Akeem must travel back to America to find him, so he can assume his role as king.
The film boasts a robust cast that includes James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wesley Snipes, Rick Ross, Leslie Jones, Michael Blackson, Jermaine Fowler, KiKi Layne, Luenell and Tracy Morgan.
In a recent interview with Essence he also talks about being Executive Producer for a new movie which he’ll also star in, titled “Singleholic” – a film about a woman who must become comfortable in her own skin after a bad breakup and series of unsuccessful dates.
“Coming 2 America 2” is set to hit cinemas in time for Christmas of 2020.
