Ruger releases debut album ‘Ru The World’

Nigerian music sensation Ruger has just dropped his highly anticipated debut album, titled ‘Ru The World.’

Since his breakthrough in 2021 with his debut EP ‘Pandemic,’ Ruger has become one of the key figures in Nigerian mainstream music.

Leading up to the release of his debut album, Ruger treated fans to some hit singles, including ‘Asiwaju,’ ‘Jonzing Boy,’ and ‘Kristy.’

The album, ‘Ru The World,’ which consists of 17 tracks, was officially released on September 1, 2023.

This exciting album features guest appearances from notable artists. Artists such as the Grammy-winning Kenyan group Sauti Sol, Jamaican-British rapper Stefflon Don, Dancehall sensation Projexx, the music production group Jugglerz, and singer Govanna.

‘Ru The World’ follows Ruger’s success with two EPs that showcased his incredible range, songwriting skills and versatility.

In Ruger’s own words, this debut album offers a rich blend of sounds that provides listeners with a diverse and engaging musical experience:

“It’s just every element of Ru is in this album. And you know some of the things that I’ve gone through, that I’ve put in this album. Some people are actually going through it, it’s a very relatable album. It has African sauce. Ru also has Dancehall sauce. It has R&B. It has pure reggae. Everything you want to listen to, it’s there, whatever you want just pick your poison.”

Following the album’s release, Ruger is set to embark on his first-ever tour of the United Kingdom. He will treat fans to his electrifying stage presence and a medley of his chart-topping singles.
