Nigerian singer and vocalist, Ifunanya Nwangene has died after a snake bit her at home.
Reports say the singer was bitten by a snake while using the toilet at home. She was taken to two hospitals, but none had an anti-venom to administer.
In the viral video, neighbors of the late singer are seen trying to capture the snake.
A man in the video can be heard saying, ‘‘This is the snake that killed Ifunanya in her house.’’
Friends and colleagues noted that she was active on social media earlier that morning, making the sudden loss even more devastating.

Ifunanya was widely celebrated as a super-talented and powerful vocalist, blending genres like classical, jazz, R&B, soul, and choral music. She had gained recognition through platforms such as TikTok, choir performances, and appearances on The Voice Nigeria in an earlier season.

She was laid to rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Emotional scenes from the final burial rites for the late singer who passed away in January 2026 after a prolonged illness had surfaced on social media.
