Sammy West, Regina Daniels’ brother, has been granted bail.
This was confirmed by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala as she shared a video capturing fellow colleague Mercy Johnson, human right activist Omoyele Sowore, as they walked out of the court premises rejoicing.
As reported by eelive.ng, Sammy was arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command on November 6, 2025, after ignoring multiple police invitations for questioning regarding a petition accusing him of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

The police obtained a valid court warrant and apprehended him in Lagos, later transferring him to Abuja for investigation. He was subsequently arraigned in court, where he was remanded in prison custody pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
The FCT Police Command through its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, stated that the police acted based on a valid petition and court warrant, and the case will continue in court as investigations progress while dismissing claims of unlawful detention.
Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of orchestrating her brother’s arrest, which Nwoko’s team denies, citing that the police acted independently based on a valid petition and ongoing investigation.
