Amidst the heartfelt messages following the death of Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Sanku, rumors have been circulating about Sanku’s alleged involvement in rituals to boost his popularity.
Sanku’s mother has now stepped forward to address these claims in a video that has gone viral on Instagram.
In the emotional video, Sanku’s mother vehemently denied the rumors, stating that her son never used spiritual items or consulted herbalists. According to her, Sanku often attributed his success to her prayers, frequently asking her to keep praying for him, “You can’t give him any spiritual item that he will ever use. He always says it’s my prayers that are working for him,” she said, speaking in Yoruba.
Sanku’s mother expressed her disappointment over the baseless rumors, emphasising that her son had no involvement in any form of rituals.
She also shared a heartwarming anecdote about how Sanku had planned to invite her over to his place and had even sent her money to buy foodstuffs before his untimely death.
The family has been mourning the loss of Sanku, who died in a car accident. His burial in Osogbo, Osun State, was captured in teary videos that showed the grief of his loved ones.
