Scarlett Johansson to receive Generation Award at MTV awards ceremony

Scarlett Johansson will be presented with the Generation Award at the 2021 edition of the MTV Movie and TV awards.

According to MTV, the Generation Award celebrates “beloved actors whose diverse contributions to both film and television have turned them into household names”.

The 36-year-old will join fellow Marvel stars, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Pratt, also Generation award recipients. Some other winners include Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, Dwayne Johnson, Will Smith, and more.

Scarlett Johansson, a six-time MTV Movie & TV Awards nominee, took home her first award in 2013 for best fight in “The Avengers.” She had previously received nominations for best female breakthrough performance (“Lost in Translation”), best kiss (“Don Jon,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”), best female performance (“Lucy”), and best fight (“Avengers: Infinity War”).

Also, Johansson’s new movie , Black Widow will be out in cinemas on July 9, 2021. Check out the trailer below
