Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been placed in solitary confinement following a physical altercation with another inmate at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey, multiple sources confirmed on Friday.
Combs, 56, is currently serving a 50-month sentence after his July 2025 conviction on two counts of interstate transportation for prostitution.
He was transferred to Fort Dix in late 2025, where he has been participating in a residential drug abuse treatment program and working as a chaplain’s assistant.

According to reports, the incident occurred earlier this week when another inmate allegedly dissed the former Bad Boy Records founder. The verbal exchange quickly escalated involving pushing and punching. Sources told outlets including TMZ and NBC News that Combs “held his own” before prison staff intervened.
He was subsequently moved to solitary confinement, commonly known as “the hole,” a restrictive measure used to separate inmates involved in fights. It remains unclear how long Combs will remain in isolation or whether the infraction will impact his projected February 2028 release date, which relies heavily on good behavior credits.
Neither Combs’ legal team nor the Federal Bureau of Prisons has issued a public statement, citing privacy policies.
