Popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has announced that he will be supporting parents who are finding it difficult to pay their children’s school fees as the new 2025/2026 academic session begins across the country.
Dakolo made the announcement in a post on his official X handle on Wednesday.
He noted that he understands how stressful this period can be for many families as schools resume.
In his words, “I know it’s school fee season, it’s not always easy, I know this first-hand. So, let me help lessen that burden a little bit.”

The award-winning singer then directed parents and guardians to send their children’s school bills via Instagram to an account with the handle @TheOyindaOlu.
He explained that once payments are made, receipts would be sent back to the parents as confirmation that the bills had been cleared.
According to him, “Just DM the school bill to @TheOyindaOlu on IG. We would DM you the receipt of what we sent to the school.”

eelive.ng reports that as schools reopen for the 2025/2026 academic session, some children are returning in freshly ironed uniforms and new shoes, but the excitement in many homes has been overshadowed by the groans of parents weighed down by skyrocketing fees.
For countless families across Nigeria, the reopening of schools has now become a period of mixed feelings. On one hand, there is the joy of seeing children continue their education, and on the other hand, there is the heavy burden of how to pay for it.
