Shakira teases official FIFA 2026 World Cup anthem

Grammy Award winner Burna Boy has continued to shatter records with his World Cup smash hit, ‘Dai Dai’ with Colombian musician Shakira.

Eelive.ng gathered that Burna Boy and Shakira’s 2026 FIFA World Cup song, ‘Dai Dai ’, has dethroned Shakira’s 2010 song, ‘Waka Waka’, as the highest-charting World Cup song in history.

‘Dai Dai’ moved 25 spots up this week to peak at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Shakira and Freshlyground’s ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’.

The song also peaked at number 3 on the Canadian Hot 100 this week. It is competing for the number one spot on the UK Official Singles Chart this week.

Meanwhile, Billboard has discontinued the World Digital Song Sales chart.

The final issue was dated June 27, 2026.

The chart ranked as one of the most commercially successful songs from territories such as Nigeria, Asia, the Caribbean, South Africa, and other countries.

Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Mr Eazi and Rema previously topped the chart.
