Afrobeats star Burna Boy, alongside Shakira, on Sunday July, 19th, thrilled audiences worldwide with an unforgettable performance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
The historic 11-minute show took place during the final on Sunday at the New York-New Jersey Stadium and also featured performances by Justin Bieber, Madonna, and BTS, the South Korean boy band.

The show began with a dramatic performance by Madonna. After that, BTS took the stage, and Justin Bieber performed ‘Hallelujah’, finishing his set by saying, “It’s World Cup, hallelujah”.
Next, Burna Boy and Shakira performed their song Dia Dia together. Dancers in bright yellow costumes, both children and adults, joined them on stage, making the show even livelier.

Chris Martin from Coldplay curated the Super Bowl-style entertainment, which supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
