Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has shared the heartwarming and humorous story of how he met his wife, Busola Dakolo, revealing that their love story began in church and almost remained nothing more than a friendship.
According to the award-winning singer, he first noticed Busola in church and was immediately attracted to her.
He eventually approached the beautiful young woman, requested for her phone number and later asked her out.
However, winning her heart was not as straightforward as he had hoped.

Dakolo went on to explain that Busola repeatedly tried to keep their relationship in the “friend zone”, despite his growing feelings for her.
He said: “I saw a beautiful girl in church and got her number. I took her on a date, but she kept friend-zoning me, even after I started driving her to work every day.
He added: “I stopped calling for four days… then she called and gave me a chance. That’s how I met my wife.”

The couple tied the knot on 31 March 2012. They have also built a family together and are blessed with three children.
