Akeem Adesola, husband of herbal mixture vendor Sisi Alagbo, has addressed the controversy surrounding a private video that recently surfaced online, insisting he was not responsible for its release.
Speaking in a statement on Saturday, Adesola firmly denied any involvement in leaking the footage, stressing that it was never meant for public view.
He explained that the clip was accidentally shared by his wife while she was attempting to send a message via Facebook Messenger. According to him, the video was mistakenly posted to a Facebook channel before it could be deleted.

Adesola further alleged that a woman identified as Mercy Akinbanjo downloaded the video and later contacted them, demanding payment in exchange for keeping it private.
He said the couple decided against paying after receiving advice that giving in to such demands could lead to further extortion. He also appealed to the public for support.
“It was my wife who wanted to send something to Facebook messenger and she mistakenly sent the video to a Facebook channel. Before she could delete it, a lady named Mercy Akinbanjo had saved it.”
“She contacted us that we should give her money or else she would post the video,” he said.

Adesola said they chose not to pay after seeking advice. “People advised us not to give her the money because blackmailers don’t stop. Nigerians please help us,” he added.
The matter was subsequently reported to the police, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The footage began circulating on social media last week, sparking widespread reactions. In response, the couple issued public apologies, expressing regret over the incident and asking for understanding as investigations continue.
