Ruger, a Nigerian recording artist, has sent social media agog following the debut of his appearance.

Taking to social media, the renowned singer-songwriter unveiled his new skinhead hairstyle and the chest tattoos he had acquired.

The new appearance has been receiving mixed reactions from netizens since its online debut. Some social media commentators mentioned that he looks good with the tattoos; however, some weren’t a fan of the ink on his skin.

Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known professionally as Ruger, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and performing artist. He rose to fame with the release of his song “Bounce“, which led him to sign a recording deal with Jonzing World in 2021. That same year, he released his debut extended play, Pandemic.

Equally important, the acquisition of tattoos has become prevalent amongst modern Afrobeats musicians. Several notable musicians, such as Asake, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, are among the celebrities who have flaunted impeccable tattoos and have made it culturally acceptable.

Although in the Nigerian community, tattoos are often frowned upon due to religious and cultural reasons, the burgeoning generation of Nigerian youths is beginning to accept them as a cultural norm.
