Somkele Idhalama, Waje, Omawumi turn up for “She Is” movie premiere
The premiere for “She Is”, a movie co-produced by Waje and Omawumi was held last night at the Filmhouse Cinema in Lekki, Lagos.
The dress code was Fairytale and many of our favourite celebrities like Shaffy Bello, Toke Makinwa, Idia Aisien, Somkele Idhalama, Mocheddah, Chinonso Arubayi, Ade Laoye, Layole Oyatogun, Mary Edoro, Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Osas Ajibade and Adunni Ade came out in their Disney best to play.
‘She Is’ is the maiden project from Hermanes Media, a newly founded production company. The movie addresses a number of personal and societal issues that women have to deal with in the world today.
The movie tells the story of Frances Anyaoku, (Somkele), a woman in her thirties who, according the standards set by society, has an almost perfect life. However, she feels incomplete because she is yet to have a child, and is devastated when she is informed she has fibroid and will be unable to conceive and carry to full term normally. All through the movie, we follow Frances through the emotions and resulting decisions as she takes destiny into her own hands.
