Spotify to Extend Footprint to Nigeria

Swedish streaming platform, Spotify, in the next coming days, would be extending its footprint to Nigeria, and 84 other countries.

This development however came after months of speculation and recruitment in the Nigerian music industry.

The 85 new Spotify markets represent more than a billion people, a massive new untapped audience for Spotify that has grown to more than 345 million monthly active users and over 155 million paid subscribers globally.

This is Spotify’s largest expansion to date. At the moment, the music streaming service is available in 93 countries.
