Popular Nollywood actor and producer Frederick Leonard has filed a formal petition with the police, accusing social media personality and filmmaker Stanley Chibueze Ajemba also known as Stanley On Top, of years of relentless defamation and libel.
The legal document, submitted to the Commissioner of Police in Delta State through Leonard’s lawyers at Uche Okoro & Co., claims Stanley has repeatedly spread unfounded and provocative allegations against Leonard for more than two years, severely tarnishing the actor’s reputation and causing significant financial losses from lost opportunities and earnings.

Leonard’s team emphasised that while freedom of expression is safeguarded by Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution, it does not protect slanderous or libellous attacks that harm someone’s character.
The petition demands a thorough police investigation, including summoning Stanley for questioning. It also requires him to issue a written apology, retract all offending posts, and remove them within seven days or face escalated legal consequences.
Leonard shared the petition on Instagram, issuing a stern warning: anyone making serious claims must back them with solid evidence, as “the law will take its course.”
Stanley On Top has fired back fiercely online, dismissing the suit with insults, challenging Leonard to court, and even suggesting the actor address personal matters instead.
