Veteran Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has shared the qualities she considers non-negotiable for any man seeking a relationship with her daughter.
Speaking in a recent interview, Damasus made it clear that respect tops the list. “He needs to fully respect her and be obsessed with her,” she stated, emphasising that genuine admiration and care must form the foundation of the relationship.
Financial stability ranks equally high. The actress insisted the man must have enough resources to take care of both himself and her daughter.
“He needs to have enough to take care of you,” she said.

Discipline is another firm requirement. Damasus stressed that the ideal candidate must demonstrate self-control in mind, body, and overall lifestyle. While she values a man who loves and fears God, she believes spiritual qualities alone are insufficient without accompanying personal discipline.
In a lighter moment, the actress joked that good looks also matter, adding that there are “many, many more” qualities she would consider important.
