Over the weekend, the 2019 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) went down and with it, a serious gangsta throw-down like we haven’t seen in these parts (The annual Headies drama doesn’t come close).
In what seems like a gang-related scuffle, Ghanaian dancehall musician, Stonebwoy, pulled out a gun out on fellow artiste Shatta Wale on stage at the awards ceremony.
Apparently, while giving his acceptance speech for the award of reggae dancehall artiste of the year, Stonebwoy called out Shatta and bragged about receiving the award for the fifth time consecutively.
This did not sit well with Shatta as he walked up to the stage to confront Stonebwoy, with his ‘boys’ in tow.
They were however stopped and in a video circulating online, Stonebwoy is seen with a gun on stage while being held back by security operatives.
Reports have it that Stonebwoy was handcuffed and taken away by the police.
Appaz, our Ghanaian brothers have no chill! Phew!
