Afrobeats star Simi has shared a powerful message on the importance of self-awareness and staying true to one’s values in a world obsessed with external validation.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the singer warned against relying on the love and approval of others, describing it as “fickle.” Instead, she encouraged her followers to anchor their lives in deeper principles such as truth, kindness, honesty, and faith.
“Don’t live for the love of people. It’s fickle as f***,” she wrote. “Live for truth. Be kind. Be honest. Live for God.”

Simi further cautioned that while public admiration may feel good, it should not define one’s identity. “When people do show you love en masse, don’t bask in it too long. You MAY acknowledge it – but keep it moving. Because people forget. And if you forget that, you will suffer.”
Her message serves as a reminder to prioritize inner values over fleeting external praise.
