Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has given fans an exciting glimpse into preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
On Friday, the singer posted a lively video on X showing himself sharing warm hugs, laughter, and light moments with Colombian icon Shakira at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Captioned “Sunday Prep!”, the clip shows the duo rehearsing ahead of Sunday’s historic performance. The pair will take the stage to deliver “Dai Dai,” the official tournament anthem, during the first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show at a World Cup final.

This marks a special reunion for the collaborators, who previously performed the global hit at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City. The final will see Spain face Argentina, with the halftime entertainment expanded to accommodate a star-studded lineup.
Alongside Burna Boy and Shakira, the show features Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus with Coldplay, and beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.
The spectacular 11-minute performance also supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aimed at expanding access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
