Swanky Jerry Accused of Stealing from fellow Stylist, John Angel
It appears that Nigerian celebrity stylist, Swanky Jerry has a lot of questions to answer. The stylist who is currently in Dubai has been accused by a fellow stylist of stealing his work and taking credit for it. Not once but three times.
The accuser, John Angel, better known as Deangelictouch took to his instagram page to make the call out.
“Hello @swankyjerry, I have tried to be quiet about this for so many years but I would like you to answer this question, WHY DO YOU ENJOY TAKING CREDIT FOR MY WORK?”
What Lead to the call out…
Ike Onyema’s suit is the main issue here. BB Naija season 4 house mate, Ike Onyema was among the stars that graced Bambam and Teddy A’s dubai wedding. He wasted no time in telling the world how Swanky glammed him up. Similarly, Swanky posted a video of Mercy and Ike’s attire for the wedding indicating he styled them both.

And stylist John Angel wasn’t finished. In the same post, he recalled the genesis of his issue with Swanky.
“Why do you stamp your name on a job you clearly had no business in? For reposts on blogs??? The first time you did this was for Timaya’s ‘Money’video, you posted my work as yours, allowed blogs repost it such as yours, allowed blogs repost it such that Timaya himself had to do a post before you deleted it off your page.
After that, Angel says he styled Dban j for ‘Emergency video‘ and Swanky came on set after he stepped out to get some things. As a result of that, Swanky adjusted the singers shirt, took a picture and posted on social media. Another job he took credit for.
An aggrieved Angel claims he was the one that styled Ike Onyema in Dubai.
“Now you boldly posted you styled @iam_ikeonyema when i was the one who pulled outfits and styled him for his Dubai Trip. How are you the stylist? Because you took him to where he tied the Turban? I have kept mute for years as I am not one to look for trouble, neither do I care for reposts etc, I care about my work being misinterpreted and nothing more is annoying to a creative than someone else taking credit for their hardwork year in year out.
John Angel’s message to Ike
Angel expresses his displeasure at Ike Onyema for his lack of integrity and good conscience. In addition, he says he wasn’t paid a dime for styling him along with a huge question for him;
“Where was Swanky when I was at your house doing the fitting?”
