Nimota Adesanya, a Nollywood actress and social media influencer better known as Nimmy Ferrari, reportedly died before her housewarming ceremony and has been buried at her newly completed home.
Eelive.ng had earlier reported that Ferrari passed away after she developed complications after undergoing surgery for fibroids.
Fellow actress Kemisola Kemity Apesin confirmed her passing in an Instagram post on Sunday.
“Everybody is back home; we left only you, IDERA Nimmyferrari. It is well,” Apesin wrote.
Videos from the burial emerged on Instagram on Monday, September 7, showing family members, friends, colleagues and other mourners gathered at the residence for the funeral rites.
The actress reportedly completed construction of the house shortly before her death and was preparing to celebrate the milestone with loved ones and colleagues.
However, instead of welcoming guests for a housewarming ceremony, the newly completed property became the venue for her burial.
Footage circulating online showed a large gathering within the compound, with several people preparing for the interment.
One video showed men digging a grave at the residence as mourners gathered around the area. In another piece of footage, Nimmy’s remains, wrapped in white cloth, were carried by attendees to the burial spot.
Her family has yet to release an official statement confirming the exact cause of her death.
The burial came only days after Nimmy reportedly looked forward to celebrating the completion of her new home, turning what was expected to be a moment of joy into a gathering of mourning.
