Temi Otedola Wins ‘Best Actress’ at Ghana Movie Awards

Temi Otedola, has received an award for best actress at the just concluded Ghana Movie Awards.

The fashion vlogger-cum-actress was recognised for her acting debut role role in Kunle Afolayan‘s Citation where she played the role of Moremi, 21-year-old female student on a Nigerian campus who takes the case of a trendy university don to the institution’s senate body on account that he tried to rape her.

In a post on Twitter, Temi Otedola said: “I just heard I won the Ghana Movie Award in the category of Best Actress (African Collaboration) for my role in Citation!!! So so grateful! Thank you for this honour”.

Kunle Afolayan also snagged the Best Movie (African Collaboration) award for Citation.

Since its release, Citation has continued to pull the strings across the globe, topping charts and snagging positive reviews.

It ranked second among the top 10 movies on Netflix in Nigeria for 2020. It also ranked sixth among the top-10 most preferred movies on Netflix globally.

Among those who starred in the movie are Ibukun Awosika, chairman of First Bank of Nigeria (FBN); Joke Silvia, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Ini Edo, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Adjetey Anang, Gabriel Afolayan, Bienvenu Neba, and Sadiq Daba.
