The star-studded programme is expected to deliver memorable performances while celebrating the opening of a landmark institution dedicated to leadership, community engagement and public service.

The Obama Presidential Centre, inspired by former United States President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, has been years in the making and is widely regarded as one of the most anticipated cultural projects in the country.

Although attendance at the official opening ceremony is restricted to invited guests, members of the public will still have an opportunity to take part in the celebrations.

The Obama Foundation has organised a free public watch party at Midway Plaisance, near the venue, with activities set to begin at 9 a.m.
