Terry G: ‘Comparing Me With Naira Marley Will Bring Bad Blood’

Nigerian sensational singer, Terry G has broken silence on his comparison with Naira Marley by music fans, saying he doesn’t appreciate it as it will create beef between them.

Recall that recently fans took to social media to debate whose music has a lasting impact on the youths.

While some fans argued that Naira Marley is not only the most talked-about singer in the country at the moment, but also the only artiste recruiting an army of fans known as Marlians; others expressed that what Terry G had accomplished during his Free Madness era are incomparable to Naira Marley’s exploits.

Addressing the controversial debate in a tweet chat with media personality, Adekeye Esther Tosin aka Cute Kimani, Terry G said, “I don’t appreciate when people draw comparisons. Everybody on earth is uniquely and wonderfully made. I am Terry G aka The Akpako Master and Naira Marley is Naira Marley. All these comparisons are what creates bad blood and it’s not healthy for the industry.”

Speaking on why he often refers to himself as the Jesus of Nigerian music, he explained, “It means I’m The King Of Ginjah. I feel you with a musical vibe like no other. My sound is different and unique. You only need to hear the sound of my Bell and lose all home training Face with tears of joy Like I always say TerryGzus Is Back.”

Asides how unhealthy the comparison may be for the music stars as Terry G stated, can’t we just enjoy both artistes dish out the street anthems they are known for?
