Nigerian celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani has slammed a Nigerian dermatologist, Dr. Bea, over her remarks on Angela Okorie’s decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
The dermatologist had, in a recent Instagram post, questioned the rationale behind the actress’s choice to engage in cosmetic surgery.
Reacting, Lawani took to social media to express her disapproval of what she viewed as unnecessary body shaming of Okorie.
Lawani questioned how someone who has drastically altered her appearance could turn around to criticize another woman for doing the same, accusing the dermatologist of leveraging public shaming to boost her business
She wrote, “I rarely put my mouth in Sm drama but you say Less is more but you are literally carrying another persons face on your face all over Nigeria. Advicing people to patronize you, how are you better than her?”
It’s high time people mind their business and let people do what makes them happy without body shaming them. If she loves her body how is it anyone’s business. It’s always pot calling kettle black. Someone who’s literally out there destroying peoples nose up and down.
