‘The Bling Lagosians’ Set For Release In June
The much anticipated Bolanle Austen-Peters movie, “The Bling Lagosians” will be released in cinemas from June 28.
The movie release was announced on the Instagram page dedicated to the movie. With the buzz created over the months, fans and lovers of art have not much long to wait as the comedy overdose is set to hit the big screen.
‘The Bling Lagosians’ tells the funny and dramatic story of a powerful Lagos socialite planning a flamboyant and expensive birthday party, while her husband struggles to prevent their family’s huge debt from being exposed.
Bolanle Austen-Peters revealed that she wants the film to mirror the reality of her Lagos experience, which the trailer shows in detail. It reveals the party preparations, showing the robust cast, as they carry out their day-to-day activities.
This will be the directorial debut for the theatre enthusiast, Bolanle, as she packs a star-studded cast that includes Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Bisola Aiyeola, Denola Grey, Monalisa Chinda and many more. It is set to hit cinemas nationwide on June 28, 2019.
