Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has released a public statement firmly rejecting circulating claims that he is the father of a seven-year-old child.
In a formal “Taarifa Kwa Umma,” the Bongo Flava star said reports alleging he fathered a child with a Tanzanian woman had been spreading.
He initially ignored the rumours, describing them as lacking weight or credibility. However, as the claims began to affect his name, family, businesses and the image he has carefully built over many years, he felt compelled to respond.

Jux revealed that similar allegations had surfaced before. Convinced they were false, he tracked down the woman involved. According to the singer, she confirmed in her own words and voice that the two had never met physically, had no romantic relationship, and even asked him not to give the matter further attention.

With the claims now resurfacing in a different form, Jux said the issue has been handed over to legal authorities and that further action will be taken against the person concerned. He also cautioned media houses and members of the public against spreading unverified information.
“I have built my name, my brand and my business over many years through work, discipline and great dedication,” he stated. “Anyone who chooses to involve my name, my family or my business in false claims must be ready to answer for it legally.”
The singer concluded that he has chosen calm, truth and the correct legal steps.
Jux is married to Nigerian media personality Priscilla Ojo. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Rakeem, in August 2025. The statement was circulating widely on social media on Friday, August 28, 2026.
