
Nollywood icon Osita Iheme popularly known as Pawpaw, is celebrating his birthday today as he turns 44.
Fans of the meme king, and childhood icon, took to the internet to share his iconic memes as a means of celebrating the icon.

The actor who was born in Abia State, Nigeria, is a native of Mbaitoli in Imo State (southeast Nigeria).

He skyrocketed to fame playing “Pawpaw” in the 2002 blockbuster Aki na Ukwa alongside Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki). Their duo became one of Nollywood’s most beloved comic pairs, starring in numerous films together and defining a whole era of Nigerian comedy.

He’s a recipient of theMember of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), one of Nigeria’s national honors. He’s also an author — he wrote books like motivational/self-help titles and film producer.

Pawpaw literally the “African King of Memes”, his facial expressions from old movies have been used endlessly on social media for reactions to everything from Nigerian politics to everyday struggles and many have tagged his memes as evergreen with its existence staying long than one can imagine.
