Rita Edochie, the Veteran Nollywood actress has taken to social media to express her grief over the death of someone very dear to her.
The actress via her Instagram shared an emotional post, revealing that last Sunday evening was one of her darkest moments as she lost a person “so close to her heart.”
“Last Sunday evening turned black for me. I lost a dear one so close to my heart. Even in pain, I whisper: it is well with my soul,” she wrote.

Edochie added that the loss came unexpectedly and thanked friends, colleagues and fans who had called or sent messages to check on her absence from social media.
“This wasn’t seen coming. I can’t thank you all enough who called and sent messages to know why I have not been posting. Thank you,” she added.
The actress, known for her roles in numerous Nollywood productions, did not disclose the identity of the deceased but her post has since drawn an outpouring of sympathy from fans and fellow actors alike.
