Tiffany Haddish to Produce Stand-Up Comedy Series for Netflix
Tiffany Haddish has partnered with Netflix to curate a new stand-up comedy series which will feature six women comedians.
According to reports, the Girls Trip actress is producing and hosting a new comedy series for the streaming giant titled Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready! Haddish will executive produce the series alongside fellow stand-up Wanda Sykes and comedy producer Page Hurwitz.
The stars who will be promoted are:
Featured comics include Chaunté Wayans (50 Shades of Black), April Macie (Snoop Dogg’s Bad Girls of Comedy), Tracey Ashley (The Last O.G.), Aida Rodriguez (Last Comic Standing), Flame Monroe (Def Comedy Jam) and Marlo Williams (Comicview).
Speaking about this, Haddish said, “I am introducing six of my favorite comedians—in my eyes, they are superstars. The epitome of They Ready.”
And speaking about Haddish, Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s vice president of original documentary and comedy, said, “Tiffany Haddish is a force. Hilariously funny, brash and self-effacing, she’s an incredible artist who is winning over audiences while breaking barriers, and we are tremendously proud that she will showcase her formidable talent on Netflix.”
