TikTok star accused of killing wife and her friend

American TikTok star and YouTuber,  Ali Abulaban, popularly known as Jinnkid, has been accused of fatally shooting his estranged wife and a friend he thought she was cheating on him with. 

The 29 year old comic impressionist has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Abulaban was arrested on Thursday. Following a confession to shooting his estranged wife, Ana Abulaban, and her friend,  Cadenas Barron.

Prosecutors revealed that Abulaban had been living at a hotel and stalking his wife since she told him to move out of their San Diego apartment on Oct. 18. However, on Thursday the Tiktoker who has almost a million followers on the app, allegedly snuck back into the apartment while his wife was out. After this, he downloaded an app with a listening device on his 5-year-old daughter’s iPad. 

Abulaban started listening to the app. Hours later, he heard his wife talking with another man. He rushed back to the apartment. The YouTuber then allegedly opened fire on Barron , hitting him three times and shooting his wife in the head.

Shortly after, he called his mother to confess before picking up his daughter from school, still carrying the murder weapon. While driving, he called the police and once again, allegedly confessed. The police took him into custody.

This is not the first time Abulaban has been violent towards his wife. Ana had filed a police report against him last month after he allegedly pushed and injured her.

Abulaban remains behind bars without bail, according to jail records.
