Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has reacted to the growing speculations linking her romantically with Afrobeats star, Wizkid.
The mother of one spoke after comments she made in a recent interview sparked social media debates.
In that interview, Tiwa revealed that she once dated a well-known public figure.

According to her, the relationship was kept away from public attention because the man insisted on privacy. She explained that while he did not want their affair to be made public, he was still comfortable openly flirting with other women in the name of protecting their relationship from the spotlight.
Her statement immediately went viral, with many Nigerians concluding that she was talking about Wizkid.
However, Tiwa Savage has now cleared the air. In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, the “Somebody’s Son” crooner dismissed the claims that she was referring to Wizkid.
She stated clearly that although she has great admiration and respect for the Ojuelegba hitmaker, he was not the public figure she once dated.
“Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him but he isn’t the one I was referring to. I said the person was a public figure but it’s not him,” Tiwa Savage said during the interview.
