Tiwa Savage delays London concert due to health reasons
Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian international sensation, has revealed that she is battling a virus.
She has had a successful 2023 as a result of the release of her single ‘Stamina’. Also, for her pivotal guest appearance on Sypro’s ‘Who’s Your Guy?’
However, the award-winning singer is taking a break due to a vocal infection that has forced her to rest in bed.
Tiwa Savage stated on her Instagram account that she has recently been battling a vocal virus.
She added that her doctors have advised her to take a break from singing.
“To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.
She wrote:
I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.
I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.
I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”
Tiwa Savage was set to make history by becoming the first Afrobeats female artist to headline the Wembley Arena in November 2023.
She has now cancelled the show, as well as the rest of her scheduled appearances. This will be rescheduled at a later date.
