Celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani has raised eyebrows after pointing out a growing trend among some Lagos women, claiming many now share strikingly similar facial features.
In a video shared online, Lawani observed that more women appear to have developed long jaws and plump lips, creating a near-identical look across the city’s social scene.
“There is something going on in Lagos. Everybody is starting to look alike. I see you today, next day, long jaw,” she said.
The designer went further, questioning the source of these changes. “All Lagos girls are starting to look alike with their long jaws and plump lips. Where una dey collect the face?” she asked, using the popular Nigerian phrase to probe the trend.

Lawani specifically referenced the city’s fashionable “Lagos baddies,” noting that many now present the same enhanced appearance. “All the Lagos baddies are just looking alike. Long jaw and plump lips,” she added.
While Lawani did not name specific individuals or clinics, her comments have sparked conversation online about beauty standards, cosmetic procedures, and the pressure to conform in Lagos social circles.
