TV Star Sacked from Show over Kidnap Stunt

Double Cross TV star, Masika Kalysha has been fired from the TV programme after recently faking her own kidnap.

The Blast reports that the creator of the show, Christel Gibson started getting disturbing calls about the staged kidnap video posted on Kalysha’s Instagram page.

Although Kalysha already apologised for faking her own kidnap; the show executives still didn’t she should still be hosting the show.

Speaking on the incident, Kalysha said her actions were aimed at supporting the end of human trafficking, which according to her, is the same storyline of the Double Cross show.

“I got caught up in the excitement of the moment and chose to use my platform to bring an essential topic to light by displaying my efforts to support the end of human trafficking,” she said.

In the video, Kalysha could be seen crying and begging her followers to tip her kidnappers so they could let her go.

The show executives believed she went too far, hence her dismissal.
