American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry and Tyler Perry Studios has confirmed via Instagram and TikTok that Beauty in Black Season 3 premieres August 27, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
The announcement matches official reports from Deadline, TVLine, and Netflix Tudum, which also released first-look photos.
The series, created, written, directed, and executive produced by Perry, follows Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams), a former exotic dancer, and Mallory (Crystle Stewart), who runs the Bellarie family’s hair-care empire. Their lives collide amid power struggles, secrets, blackmail, and family feuds.

Season 3 sees Kimmie gain a seat at the Bellarie table, forcing an uneasy alliance with Mallory as a deadly feud threatens the empire. The eight-episode season arrives after the show was briefly set to end with Season 3, only for Netflix to reverse course and renew it for a fourth season.

Perry has built one of entertainment’s most prolific empires. He rose to fame with stage plays and the Madea character, launching the blockbuster film franchise that began with Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005).
His credits include dramas such as For Coloured Girls and Acrimony, comedies such as Why Did I Get Married?, and long-running TV series such as House of Payne, The Haves and the Have Nots, Sistas, and The Oval. Operating from Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, he continues delivering high-volume content across film and streaming.
