UK Hospital Congratulates Mike Edwards, Wife on Son’s Birth
A UK-based hospital on Monday congratulated former Big Brother Naija housemate Mike Edwards and his wife Perri Shakes-Drayton on the birth of their son.
Newham Hospital, where Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards was born on August 26; tweeted to congratulate the couple.
“Congratulations to @shakesdrayton and @aireyys on the birth of their baby boy,” the tweet read.
The hospital quoted Mike’s wife as saying; “On a number of occasions I had to visit Newham Hospital prior to giving birth. The staff members were very thorough when carrying out checks. It always left me feeling reassured I was ok.’
“Thank you to the midwifery team at Newham Hospital for making the experience special for both me and my husband to share together. We appreciate you and we’re happy to have delivered a healthy baby boy.”
While announcing his son’s birth, Mike said on Instagram that he was so proud that his wife Perri was the mother of his son. The proud father stated that black women needed a lot of care of because they are the future of tomorrow.
Mike Edwards was the first runner up in the last season of BBNaija. He was beat out by Mercy Eke, who had slightly more votes than him and went on to win the grand prize.
