The Ogun State Police Command has officially commenced an investigation into the alleged shooting of popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Broda Shaggi whose real name is Samuel Perry.
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State, where Broda Shaggi was filming a comedy skit. He sustained a gunshot injury to his thigh, according to multiple reports.

His team promptly transported him to Blooming Care Hospital in Alakuko, Lagos, for initial medical attention before he was referred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja GRA for further treatment. He is currently stable and receiving care.
Lagos State Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi confirmed that the hospital notified authorities of a gunshot victim, and upon arrival, detectives identified the individual as Broda Shaggi. She noted the location falls under Ogun jurisdiction, but stated the investigation remains active to establish full facts.
Ogun State Police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, indicated the matter was not initially formally reported to their command, but they have now initiated a probe. Authorities emphasize that details such as whether it stemmed from demands by area boys, a prop mishap, stray bullet, or other causes, remain unconfirmed, urging the public to await verified outcomes and avoid speculation.
