Uriel Oputa, a former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality, has recently shared her candid thoughts on the evolving meaning of celebrity status in the entertainment industry.
Uriel made the remark during a recent interaction, as she expressed concern over what she described as the dilution of celebrity identity in the age of social media influence.
“Everyone is now a celebrity, even me. We need Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, Genevieve Nnaji and Ramsey Nouah to determine who is a celebrity or not,” she said.
Uriel, known for her outspoken nature and strong opinions, went on to reference some of Nollywood’s most respected figures, suggesting that established icons could help redefine and uphold the standards of celebrity status.
