Walshy Fire Features Wizkid, Adekunle Gold, Ice Prince & More on ‘Abeng’
Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire has taken a liking to Nigerian talents as he enlists quite a number of them on his newly released LP titled – ‘Abeng’.
In the past few weeks, the Producer had been teasing the project with the release of multiple singles, featuring acts like, Mr. Eazi, Runtown, Ice Prince and a couple others.
‘Abeng’ is an 11-track project, which houses some incredibly impressive features. It opens with the most recently released singles off the tape, ‘Call Me’, ‘Round of Applause’ and ‘No Negative Vibes’.
One of the standout tracks on the project is a fresh tune titled – ‘Outside’ – featuring Trinidadian star, Nailah Blackman and Adekunle Gold, who sings in his customary Yoruba language. Ice Prince can be heard shouting out ‘Jagaban’ on the boisterous reggae banger that follows titled – Xcellent – bringing Nigerian culture with them everywhere they go.
Ice Prince is the most featured act on the tape with three features, making his final appearance on ‘African Lady’, alongside Jay Newton and Vanessa Mdee, who provide outstanding performances. Boasting a range of genres, Walshy Fire shows his diversity on ‘Abeng’, from WurlD’s melodic lamentations on ‘Show You Off’, to the sensual pop record, ‘Amazing’; the project offers up something for everyone.
