Sarah Martins, a controversial actress in Nollywood, recently expressed her admiration for online activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), revealing that they are ‘married.’
Recall VeryDarkMan regained freedom on Wednesday evening after spending five consecutive days in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The activist, known for his blunt commentaries and online exposés on societal ills, was arrested last week following what the EFCC described as “multiple petitions” lodged against him by unnamed individuals.

Reacting to his release, Martins, through her Instagram, had sarcastically welcomed him while also expressing her underlying affection for the activist.
She wrote: “Welcome back my sweet husband, this night don sure for me. Tonight is gonna be a rough night. I love you so muuch my baby @verydarkblackman.”

However, the post stirred mixed reactions with netizens, who criticised her for declaring her love for the activist in such a manner. In response to the backlash, the actress announced that they are both married at heart as they bear the same surname.
She wrote: “I see all the hate comments on instablog concerning my undying love for my prince Charming VDM.. In case you havent noticed, i have his last name, ”Martins” Sarah Martins.. Vincent Marttins. We are officially married in my heart. If you cant wish us well, please leave us alone. Its 2am and I am still awake thinking of my baby. Yall hes mine period..”
The social media influencer, however, is yet to respond to the actress’s claims.
