Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has shared his reaction to American streamer iShowSpeed’s experience during his ongoing Africa tour, specifically calling out Nigeria particularly Lagos, as the most disappointing stop so far.
In a series of posts on his Instagram Story, Remi expressed deep disappointment with how Lagos was portrayed during Speed’s brief visit.

He wrote: “After watching IShowSpeed’s journey so far, Nigeria is the worst on my own list. We just really stripped Lagos naked. No be say anything dey under the clothes before sha. Seems like we have lost the essence of culture, our truth.”
Remi criticised the focus on nightlife, club scenes, fake alcoholic drinks, and widespread “beggy beggy skills” arguing that all this failed to showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, authenticity, or deeper values. He noted that the experience exposed Lagos’s flaws without revealing meaningful depth, contrasting it unfavorably with other African countries on the tour.
Recall that the young American streamer, arrived in Lagos last week as part of his continent-wide tour aimed at showcasing African culture. However, the visit was short-lived and chaotic prompting Speed to move to the next African country Benin Republic.
