Mohammed Odeh Adah, the Nigerian real estate businessman popularly known as King Ochacho, has been trending in recent days after gifting controversial TikTok influencer Habeeb ‘Peller’ Hamzat a landed property reportedly valued at N400 million during his wedding ceremony.
Eelive.ng understands that 21-year-old Peller tied the knot with his partner, Amadou ‘Jarvis’ Elizabeth, in a series of ceremonies attended by family and close friends in Lagos.
The couple held their white wedding on Saturday, August 8, followed by their traditional wedding ceremony in Lagos. They had earlier completed their civil wedding in late July.
Their engagement took place in Accra, Ghana, in June, after Peller proposed to Jarvis on one knee in front of friends and guests. She accepted the proposal.
As a wedding gift, Ochacho publicly presented the couple with a mansion named Palace 7, located in Life Camp, Abuja.
Presenting the property amid applause from guests, he said, “On behalf of my children, I am presenting a brand new house for you worth ₦400 million in Abuja. Congratulations, Peller.”
Two days after the wedding, Ochacho, during a TikTok livestream, described the mansion as “small money,” saying the property was insignificant to him and his family. He also hinted that it would not be the biggest gift Peller would receive from him.
On Friday, August 7, he travelled to Lagos to formally hand over the keys, Power of Attorney and allocation documents relating to the property, completing the presentation of the gift.
Who Is Ochacho?
Known as the Ebelebe 1 of Idoma, Mohammed Usman Adah, popularly known as King Mo or Ochacho, is a Benue State-born businessman and real estate investor.
He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ochacho Real Homes Limited, with investments and business interests primarily in real estate and other sectors.
Although he maintains a relatively low public profile, Ochacho is also an investor in the entertainment industry and has been involved in philanthropic activities and youth empowerment.
His public gestures have attracted attention over the years. He previously made headlines for gifting singer Portable a Mercedes-Benz reportedly worth millions of naira as a gesture of appreciation after Portable released a diss track targeting Bobrisky.
However, Ochacho’s business empire has also faced regulatory scrutiny.
On May 21, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) sealed the Abuja premises of Ochacho Real Estate (Ochacho Group) and TI’Bilon Construction and Facility Management Company over unresolved consumer complaints and alleged failure to deliver paid-for housing units.
